Kennedy Phelps is a dancer, choreographer and teacher in the Detroit Metropolitan Area. She is a graduate of Western Michigan University class of 2021, and has received a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts in Dance. While at Western Kennedy has performed in works by Paul Taylor, Yin Yue, Kate Skarpetowska, Jennifer Archibald, Mike Esperanza, BAIRA, Monique Haley, and Brendan Duggan, and was a member of Western Dance Project under the direction of Whitney Moncrief. In 2022 Kennedy worked as a guest artist with Cerqua Rivera Dance Theatre in Chicago, Illinois. In the summer of 2022, Kennedy was featured on the cover of ROC magazine’s Issue 03: Embodied. In 2023 Kennedy became the founder and director of K Company Dance, LLC located in Bloomfield Hills, MI, where she can continue to share her knowledge and love for dance with the youth of today. Her choreography has been awarded multiple 1st place and choreography awards at dance competitions across Michigan. Kennedy’s work “Presence Practice” was selected to perform at National HS Dance Festival in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 2025. Kennedy’s choreography and social media platforms have led her to teach at Dance with Jax in Jacksonville, Florida. In October of 2025, Kennedy choreographed for Harvard University’s Dance Team in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Kennedy is now a competition judge fo Hall of Fame Dance Challenge for the 2025/2026 season.

Chase Phelps is a dancer, choreographer and teacher in the Detroit Metropolitan Area and Co-Artistic Director of K Company Dance. Chase is a proud alumnus of Henry Ford Academy and Henry Ford Dance Team 2017-2021. Chase has trained with Jay Jay Dixonbey, Christa Smutek, Christopher Huggins, Andrew Cribett, and Jessica Thomas. She is proficient in ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip hop and lyrical. Chase’s choreography for K Company Dance has received 1st place overall awards at Showbiz Talent, Vip Dance Competition and Hall of Fame Dance Challenge and s choreography award at Hall of Fame Dance Challenge. This summer Chase will be continuing her dance career as a free-lance artist.

During his first year Chance has performed in works by Houston Thomas and Jose` Limon “A Choreographic Art Offering” featured in the Fast Duets.
Chance Phelps is a dancer, choreographer and teacher in the Detroit Metropolitan Area and Co-Artistic Director of K Company Dance. Chance currently attends The Juilliard School in New York city. During his first year Chance has performed in works by Houston Thomas and Jose` Limon “A Choreographic Art Offering” featured in the Fast Duets. Chance’s self-choreographed solo “If I Should Lose You” was awarded Young Art’s 2024 modern/contemporary distinction winner. He attended the National Young Art’s week in Miami, Florida where he performed his solo under the direction of Risa Steinberg. Chance has attended Complexions Contemporary Ballet Intensive on full scholarship under the direction of Desmond Richardson and Dwight Rhoden. He is a proud alumnus of Renaissance High School and Renaissance Dance Workshop 2019-2023. This summer Chance will be attending Ballet BC in Vancouver, British Columbia to learn extensive knowledge about ballet and contemporary.

She has had training from several pioneers of the art form, including: Robert Reed, Dianne Walker, Chloe Arnold, Maud Arnold, and Jason Samuels Smith to name a few. At the age of 15 Taylor

At the age of 15 Taylor was one of 25 individuals worldwide selected to participate in the inaugural tap program at Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, under the direction of Derick Grant. She was also the youngest person to take advantage of the Jacob’s Pillow experience as admission generally starts at 16. Taylor has performed at the Kennedy Center and in various Tap Festivals and Showcases across the world as a part of Jacob’s Pillow Dance, the St. Louis Hoofers Club, and as a founding member of Tappin’ Soles of Detroit. Taylor began her dance training with Ms. Crystall white-Winkler at Artistry In Motion Dance School, and continues that tradition of dance as she enters her 7th season as a dance teacher and choreographer. Taylor’s choreographer has earned top placements, high scoring achievements, and stand out awards at numerous competitions over the years. Taylor spends her day as an attorney and remains committed to empowering youth throughout the community.

Dani Anstandig is a dance instructor and choreographer throughout the Metro-Detroit area. She has trained competitively in the styles of Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Contemporary, and Tap. Dani began assisting Hip Hop and Jazz classes at the age of 12. Throughout her journey as a competitive dancer, she obtained several 1st place over
Dani Anstandig is a dance instructor and choreographer throughout the Metro-Detroit area. She has trained competitively in the styles of Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Contemporary, and Tap. Dani began assisting Hip Hop and Jazz classes at the age of 12. Throughout her journey as a competitive dancer, she obtained several 1st place overall awards in the elite category for solo, duet/trio, and group dances. She has traveled around the USA attending Nuvo Dance Conventions, being awarded the “Breakout Artist Award” four times. Dani was also awarded the “Core Performer Award” at the Radix Dance Convention. Dani’s students have won many placements and titles over the years, including many 1st overall placements, dancer of the year or title winners, judges choice awards, and many other placements in the overall award ceremonies. Throughout the 2023 season, three of her dances took home 1st place overall National Championships at the Groove Dance Competition National Finals. In January of 2024, Dani began an internship with Eisenhower Dance Detroit under the title of Artistic Director. Throughout her journey with EDD, she worked closely with Artistic Director Stephanie Pizzo, Assistant Artistic Director Andrew Cribbett, Director of Operations Lindsay Chirio-Humenay, and Marketing Director Allison Armfield. In May of 2024, Dani graduated from Wayne State University on a talent scholarship obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Dance, with a Minor in Business Administration. Dani remained on the dean’s list for the entirety of her journey as a Dance Major. She studied several styles of dance, as well as dance education and choreography courses, studying under artists such as Dr. Douglas Risner, Hannah Anderson, Jessica Raijko, Lisa Wilmot, Dr. RAS Micheal Courtney, Jessica Gabriel Thomas, and Karen Prall. As she goes into her 7th year of being a dance instructor and choreographer, she looks forward to sharing her love and passion for dance with her students. Experiencing their growth, and being a part of their technical training, is what gives her the most joy as an instructor and choreographer.

LejlaRaven Martin was born and raised in Utica, NY. She furthered her dance training at the Walnut Hill School for the Arts in Massachusetts under the direction of Michael Owen, with many performance opportunities, including The Nutcracker, spring performances at The Joyce Theatre, and student-choreographed works. After high school, she a

She furthered her dance training at the Walnut Hill School for the Arts in Massachusetts under the direction of Michael Owen, with many performance opportunities, including The Nutcracker, spring performances at The Joyce Theatre, and student-choreographed works. After high school, she attended Point Park University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2024, earning her BFA in dance. LejlaRaven’s time at Point Park included working with and performing works by Martha Graham, Christopher Huggins, Jess Hendricks, Candace Brown, Julia Erickson, and others.
LejlaRaven is thrilled to enter her second season with Eisenhower Dance Detroit as a company member. Last season, she performed and understudied works by Joshua Peugh, Stephanie Pizzo, BAIRA, Yoshito Sakuraba, and Norbert De La Cruz III. Along with performing, she also teaches at the School of Eisenhower Dance Detroit, as well as other studios in Michigan and Upstate New York, where she is expanding her work in choreography

Arnell Kinney is a dance educator, arts professional, and youth development leader committed to making high-quality dance education accessible to young people, particularly students who deserve to see themselves reflected in the arts. Arnell specializes in ballet, modern, jazz, and African diasporic dance forms, bringing both technical expertise and culturally responsive teaching practices into every learning space.
Arnell earned a Bachelor’s degree in Dance and Anthropology from Wayne State University and continued advanced studies at New York University, where she pursued graduate work in Dance Education with a focus in Ballet Pedagogy through American Ballet Theatre. Her training and educational background reflect a deep commitment to both artistic excellence and meaningful youth engagement.
Passionate about representation in dance, Arnell’s teaching philosophy centers on providing opportunities for young students who look like her to experience high-quality dance training, creative expression, and belonging in movement spaces. Arnell has taught through the Misty Copeland Foundation, supporting equitable access to dance education, and currently serves as a Program Director for Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Detroit, where she develops impactful programming that empowers youth through arts, leadership, and innovation.
Through dance education, Arnell strives to build confidence, discipline, creativity, and joy while helping young people see themselves as artists, leaders, and changemakers.
